Recently we’ve been thinking about finding a house that’s one story because I’m bad with stairs, and Hailey got a bit sad because they’ve lived here since they were little so I drew this for them:
Treacly is definitely a word. It’s molasses in the UK. I’m a rabid anglophile. One of my offspring hated when we moved once. He was six and no longer remembers that 😉
We moved a lot when I was a kid. Then, as each of the three kids left home, my mom and stepdad moved into a house with one less bedroom. They later swore it was not on purpose. But I definitely learned to make home out of wherever I am. Though now my husband and I are planning on moving in a year or so (also for a single story as we age) and it will be interesting to see how different it will be to leave a house after 35+ years.
Treacly is definitely a word. And you should read the "Julia's Home for Lost Creatures" trilogy - kids stories, but they made me cry at times. All about found home.
My house is very similar... messy and full of love. My body is also similar, AuDHD and arthritis... and full of love. I love the snail house. Wish I had one. :)
Jenny, your post sent me (literally!) down a well: https://morrisoxford.co.uk/treacle-well/ with none other than Lewis Carroll. So you’re more than validated. However, there is no such thing as too many tacos. Love your art! 💕
Me, too. Anytime I hear or read mention of treacle, I think of that passage in Alice! And for sure , "treacly" is a word. We know it, we know what it is and it's real.There.'Nuff said.
I wish I wasn't likely to be wall-less in 2025 because that calendar would absolutely encourage me to get through the year. I hope everyone reading this makes it through 2025. Hugs, y'all.
Jenny - this shows have accepting and mature you are. The first time I said I was heading home when I was going back to my college dorm, my mother was grossly offended. I left my heart with her.

I prefer to live in your universe where treacle pudding exists and inspires adverbs.

I'm so stinking excited about your calendar!!!!! I've said you should do one several times this past year. ❤️
Thank you for sharing the wonderful you that you are.
Merriam-Webster, Dictionary.com, and Oxford Languages all confirm that treacly is a word. Love your illustration, and your newsletter!
My goodness, have I been "following" you that long? I remember when you guys moved to that house.
I super crazy love you, too! I just don't say it enough!

Think pecan pie, without the pecans. Not pudding, per se, but absolutely custard. So, there. ☺️
My first thought was "like the pudding?" So, yes, it's a word! And a sweet sentiment ❤️

Also, treacly is my new favorite word
Treacly is totally a word. And treacle pudding is real.
