Dear friend,

I can almost see the new year from here and I know it will bring beautiful things and terrible things, as all years do. And I also know that I will be here, protecting my heart and celebrating the beauty as much as I can. I can’t wait to see what you do this year, friends, both because of or in spite of the world around you. This is a small prayer, holding you close in a safe place away from the fray.
