There is a fine line between screaming with joy and screaming with panic and this is the space where I live.
Right now I’m doing the 14th (FOURTEENTH?) annual James Garfield Miracle where I send out free stuffed animals to families struggling during the holidays and it’s amazing because it’s always uplifting, but it’s also hard because right now I’m a midline depression and so I don’t have a ton of energy and I was worried that I’d fall behind on filling lists. Except every time I took time off to sleep or rest amazing friends and strangers took over in filling the lists and we’re now two days in and as of this minute every single stuffed animal request has been filled and I still have 40 more stuffed animals to give away.
Ow, my heart.
Which brings me to this week’s sketch which I made for Hailey (who love possums) for Christmas (shhh…don’t tell them):
