I need this week’s art in a frame. I did just go outside in my backyard and was almost struck by lightning. That almost made me a ghost. Is that good luck? I am still shaking and might have peed my pants. I can’t wait for your next book! So happy you are getting closer. I need to go change now. And drink a shot.

Oh good! I was hoping someone would let me know. I may have super powers now. I wish I had something with an antenna because I bet I would summon the best channels. Do younger people even know about antennas?

Probably not. How embarrassing for them, right? If I were you i would demand to be called Elektra for at least the next month! Here. I will start. Electra, you are so right! The youth of this country knows NOTHING about radio and television antennas!

lol!! Right! They are missing out because that was half the fun. Especially when you finally saved money for your own black and white in your bedroom and all you wanted was the after school special to come in!

Darling Jenny, I am THRILLED that you take up space in my life, even if just online. You're awesome. Take up the entire world if you want. We need more people like you.

Oof! I am a ghost in my own life, but I didn't realize that until I saw your art. Damn...I have some work to do. Thanks for the wake-up call. You are fucking amazing!!

I super crazy love you, too, Jenny. I love this drawing and this message. I think so many of us have this experience of making ourselves smaller to fit our environment, or our feelings, &/or our experience. (Ever sat in the middle seat on an airplane between two BIG manspreaders? Oof, never again!). We NEED to be our full-sized selves, and spread our amazingness to the world around us. You do this here for us, and encourage us to do the same. Never give up, never sureender! May you get the rest you need to face your challenges.

I laughed out loud at sitting in the middle seat between two big man’s spreaders. Been there. if I’m ever there again hopefully not I will assertively but politely tell them to put their crotch away.

Yes I agree with everything because life is short And you need to enjoy it has much has you can from beautiful sunset to birds singing great weather to walking with your pets and the company of family and friends or relaxing in bed reading or watching a great show and eating a wonderful meal 😀😘💖

Happy to hear your book editing is going well. And waking up to remember that you forgot to do something or need to do something--been there and done that. It's jarring!

Your drawings are taking on a Gorey-esque quality which is entirely appropriate! Love them and YOU and your family!!!

I so needed this today. I’m home with a migraine and feel like I’m failing at life while also balancing gratitude that my stubborn self did not make it out of the house and behind the wheel before the meds knocked me on my butt.

Migraines are debilitating. Do not ever feel bad for resting and staying home when you have a migraine. I just recently read there’s a new FDA approved device to help with migraines. It’s a vagus nerve stimulator. I hope you get some relief from your chronic migraines soon my daughter is a sufferer.

I'm reading They Both Die at the End and I empathize with Mateo so much. He worries about leaving the house and leaving something a mess for his dad and panicked when he was supposed to get on the (subway?) because the car was full of people having a party....he lived as a ghost and I know that is my default setting too. When it's hot outside and crowded and political and expensive....it's getting harder to not be a ghost. Thank you for the reminder and the nudge. I should go take a walk around the block and at least get some real vitamin D....

Thanks! I forget that taking up space is not just what I'm here for. Although I'm good at it!

Wherever we go, we add a shimmer of light. A bit of a glow is always nice.

Getting up on the bed is one thing that Sully will not do. It's like 3-1/2 feet to the top of the mattress which makes it difficult for me to get on. One time, about 2 years ago, we stayed at my sister-in-law's house while she was hospitalized and there was a regular height bed and Sully was very happy to get cuddled all night.
