LET'S DO THIS
And by "this" I mean "whatever you want because there are already too many rules"
Okay, last week I asked if y’all wanted to do one more year of this art thing and you said yes (or nothing at all, which means yes as far as I’m concerned because I too like to not go on record committing to things just in case) and so I’m going to do one more year AND I’m going to mail out a few tiny pieces of art out to randomly selected subscribers each month. (If you’re selected I’ll send you an email asking for your address.) And if you want to send me tiny pieces of art just mail them to:
Jenny’s Tiny Art Gallery / 14546 Brook Hollow Blvd. #400 / San Antonio TX, 78232
And at the end of a year I’ll display them all at Nowhere Bookshop in a tiny gallery of tiny art so that tiny people (or normal sized people) can come in and pick up a little piece of sunshine. YAY. Pretty please keep the art postcard sized or smaller because I don’t have enough room to store anything bigger.
I drew a few tiny original doodles to give out this week and something about the smaller sizes gave me the encouragement to try to explore color, which I am not good at.
But maybe I’ll get better?
My drawing for this week looks a little different than normal because of this:
Do videos work here? I can’t remember. If not, this is a video of a flash flood from the door of Nowhere Bookshop, where (thankfully) the water didn’t get high enough to enter the store, but the rain that’s been around this week has gotten into my fingers, which sounds ridiculous unless you also have arthritis and know how painful it is right before storms arrive, when your joints become accidental barometers and your husband thinks it’s weird when you stare off into the distance and whisper forebodingly, “Bring in the cattle, boys. Big rain’s a-comin’.”
Also, I don’t know if you bring in cattle when it rains because probably cows are waterproof, but it feels fun to say, and fun is elusive when you’re dealing with an arthritis flare. I explained that to Victor and he was like, “What the fuck is arthritis flair?” and that’s where this week’s drawing came from.
Soft and gentle hugs,
Jenny
I'm glad you're going to keep doing this. I am a free subscriber so I don't know if I will ever qualify for randomly sent art, but I love what you do over here.
Yay! I’m so glad you’re continuing this. I have barometer fingers too. And sometimes barometer knees. 🫠😆
