I didn’t do the image in my head justice, but when it popped into my mind I found it very uplifting….the idea of the circle of life…how we come from the past and nourish the future when we leave.
I love this so much! <3 It doesn't seem dark to me, just appreciating the duality of life through nature, which is the perfect place to see it in stark contrast.
This drawing and post are completely spot on. It reminds me of a section in Jane Kenyon’s poem “”Having It Out With Melancholy” where she describes a “great river of light” in which all humans flow—present, past, future. (and all lives, as the flowers surely know).
This is a lot fresher by way of something to put up as a reminder than our usual by-now cliched resort to the ying-yang diagram. All of it, all of the time - exhausting sometimes, but we're immersed in it and we gotta persist. Comforting that the petals are more imposing than the skulls.
Deathlions. I like it. 😁
Death lions!!!! 💀 🦁 🌻 💗
Love this. It’s the whole package, ya know? Can I do another thing with your art? (I’m fusing it into glass).
Nothing macabre - just the cycle of life. And perfectly summed up in your illustration!
Delightfully dark. Subtly sanguine.

I love this. I have such a hard time articulating what I see in my ket infusions! I am going to consciously try to keep track of what I see next time.

I appreciate your footnote. I'm setting up paid subscriptions and leaving a lot blank at the moment. ;)
